Year 1/2 Primary Teacher

We’re recruiting a highly experienced and confident Year 1/2 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Southwark. This role requires a strong practitioner who can lead and teach effectively, taking full responsibility for a mixed KS1 class and driving high standards of teaching and learning.

The Role – Year 1/2 Teacher
You will take full class responsibility for a mixed Year 1/2 class, leading all aspects of teaching, learning, and assessment. This includes planning, delivering high-quality lessons, tracking progress, and ensuring pupils are supported as they develop key foundational skills.
Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Have strong experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1 and/or Year 2
*
Be confident leading a classroom independently with full teaching responsibilities
*
Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management
*
Plan engaging, structured, and differentiated lessons
*
Have a strong understanding of phonics and early learning development
*
Use assessment effectively to drive pupil progress
*
Be committed to high expectations and inclusive practice
