Focusing on the Academy and Wrexham AFC Foundation - assist in managing and creating regular, engaging content for the Club’s official media channels, including but not limited to: digital and social media, website, live streaming, and written publications such as the matchday programme.
The successful candidate should be an innovative individual with strong skills in written, audio, video, and photo capturing, able to work in a fast-paced football environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist the Head of Media and Communications in delivering the Club’s daily and long-term media and communication plans.
* Create and capture engaging content for the Club’s digital channels, aligning with the brand, tone of voice, and values, including video, audio, and graphics.
* Produce written content for matchday programmes, the website, newsletters, and internal communications, and assist with editing received content.
* Support the delivery of Club events, including design, graphics, presentations, and printed materials.
* Help manage relationships with external media and handle press requests.
* Respond promptly to supporter queries received via social media.
* Ensure all marketing materials comply with brand guidelines and editorial style.
* Provide matchday support to the media team, volunteers, and external agencies.
* Build relationships with stakeholders within and outside the Club, including staff and agencies.
* Collaborate with other departments to produce marketing collateral for revenue generation.
* Assist with the Club’s CRM strategy, devising innovative ways to grow the database.
* Manage the content calendar, updating staff on changes or amendments.
* Produce analytics reports for digital channels to inform strategies and KPIs.
* Perform additional duties as requested by the Head of Media and Communications.

About The Candidate
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
* A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Media, PR, Marketing, Journalism, etc.
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Experience sharing content on social media and digital platforms, ideally in sports or entertainment with a global brand.
* Willingness to travel for away games and community events.

* Strong understanding of branding.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong project management abilities.
* Ability to adapt and work under pressure.
* Interest in football and understanding of the football industry.
