Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils from key stage 2 through sixth form, your responsibilities include:
* Assisting individual pupils and small groups with a range of learning needs—academic, social or emotional.
* Working closely with class teachers to adapt and differentiate lessons, using SEND strategies.
* Fostering independence, self-esteem and social skills, both in lessons and in outdoor or practical contexts.
* Collaborating effectively with colleagues and families to support holistic pupil development.
* Responding flexibly to changing demands in a lively and varied day.
? About You
* Prior experience working with SEND pupils is desirable; training in dyslexia, autism, anxiety or SEMH is a strong advantage.
* Outstanding communication skills, with both pupils and parents, and a collaborative, proactive approach.
* Resourceful and adaptable: inventive problem-solving is a core part of the role.
* A team-player with a good sense of humour, willing to participate in extracurricular and outdoor elements of school life.
