Key Responsibilities: Full or partial vehicle strip-downs
for accident repairs, including body panels, bumpers, trims, lights, and mechanical components. Refit components
after repair/paint work, ensuring correct alignment, secure fastening, and operational safety. Diagnose and repair
mechanical and electrical faults Follow detailed job sheets
and work in accordance with manufacturer and industry repair methods Test and inspect
repaired vehicles
to confirm all systems (mechanical, electrical, safety features) are working correctly. Carry out electrical system repairs
such as wiring loom replacements, module installations, or diagnostic resets. Handle airbags and safety restraint systems in compliance with manufacturer and safety standards. Work with hybrid and electric vehicle systems (if trained) to safely power down, isolate, and refit high-voltage components. Work closely with the team to ensure jobs are completed on time and to customer satisfaction Order or request parts as needed, ensuring correct OEM or approved replacements. Always adhere to health and safety guidelines
Requirements: Proven experience as an MET Technician/Stripper Fitter
in an accident repair or main dealer environment Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills Ability to work to deadlines without compromising quality Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
Desirable: ATA or NVQ Level 3 qualification (not essential) Full Clean UK Drivers license
