Overview
Academy21, part of Inspired Online Schools, is seeking a Maths Teacher (remote working, flexible permanent contract) to join our online school. This is a permanent part-time role with an innovative Annualised Working Time contract, offering flexibility while maintaining a consistent annualized workload. Location: Remotely from home (UK). Salary: £34,500 - £43,350 per annum (pro-rata) depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include Company Pension, Life Assurance, Employee Assistance Programme, and Healthcare Cashback. Opportunities may be available to teach in our fellow online school, King’s InterHigh.
Contract start dates: November 2025 and January 2026.

Job Title: Leader of Learning (Teacher) – Maths

Key Responsibilities
* Plan for and teach a range of classes to ensure student engagement and progress.
* Safeguard the welfare of students, including following defined safeguarding processes.
* Inspire, motivate and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students within the school.
* Be up to date on current research and emerging pedagogy through active professional development.
* Teach and assess students regularly, using timely and adaptive methods and the provided teaching tools.
* Maintain a positive and inspirational learning climate in the classroom and department; integrate Maths across the curriculum where appropriate.
* Support development priorities for school improvement and contribute to self-evaluation.
* Contribute to maintaining a high-quality school environment and act as a professional role model.
* Provide guidance on educational, wellbeing and safeguarding matters.
* Provide or contribute to assessments, reports and references in a timely manner.
* Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
* Teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS)
* Excellent subject knowledge
* Ability to motivate students who may be anxious or face challenging circumstances
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and regulations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Change and business-improvement mindset
* Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments
* Experience in primary, secondary or college sector
* Experience in state or independent school sector
* Experience creating resources and enhancing course delivery
* Computer literate with online teaching capabilities
