Therapy Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Therapy Assistant to join the Dorset Pain Management Service. This part‑time post is 15 hours a week. The post is based at Poole Community Clinic with hybrid working and face‑to‑face clinics in Poole and Boscombe, covering East Dorset.
Main duties of the job
* Support clinical staff in delivering treatment protocols for patients with persistent pain.
* Work unsupervised, implementing treatment programmes for specific patient groups, assessing progress, and providing advice to patients and carers in various settings.
* Support online and face‑to‑face pain management groups.
* Carry out related administrative duties.
Person Specification
Education
* GCSE maths and English (or equivalent)
* NVQ level 3
Job specific experience
* Clinical experience with long term conditions.
* Experience managing a caseload and working independently.
* Methodical approach to work.
* Experience promoting self‑management of long term conditions.
* Experience supporting in group programmes.
* Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Information Technology/Resources
* Basic IT skills, normally obtained through practice or training – e.g. SystmOne.
