Electrician – HMP Full Sutton, Nr Pocklington, York YO41 1PS £30,866 – £36,135 15% weekend allowance 39 hours per week | Permanent | On‑site role Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00; Friday to Sunday 08:00 - 16:00, working 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis. We’re recruiting an Electrician to join the facilities maintenance team at HMP Full Sutton. This is stable, long‑term work in a secure environment — no van running, no chasing jobs. Site is not accessible by public transport – free on‑site parking What you’ll be doing Planned and reactive electrical maintenance Fault finding and minor works Testing & inspections to BS7671 Keeping systems safe, compliant and operational What you need Level 2 Electrical qualification 18th Edition (17th considered – training provided) Good knowledge of electrical systems & H&S Able to work independently Basic IT skills (Fire alarm / CCTV experience welcome but not essential) Prison security clearance, Standard DBS & Counter Terrorism Check required — fully supported by Amey.
