Grade: Grade H scp 27 £18,518 to scp 31 £20,238.
Grade: Grade I (progression) scp31 £20,238 to scp 35 £22,355.
There is an additional allowance payable on both grades for essential car user status.
Contract: Permanent 18.5 hours per week
Role specifics: Must be 18yrs or over, hold a full UK driving licence and be registered with Social Work England.

The Role
An exciting Social Work opportunity has arisen to join the Early Intervention Team working alongside adults.
As a Social Worker within the team, you will be working alongside multi-disciplinary colleagues to provide a joined-up approach to meeting the needs of individuals within our neighbourhoods. The social work role incorporates the completion of holistic strength-based assessments with both service users and their carers’, identifying and managing risk and providing advice, information and sign posting to universal services and local voluntary groups.
You will need to have experience of carrying out strengths-based assessments under the Care Act 2014 and devising and implementing comprehensive support plans. You will be expected to carry out assessments, carers assessments and formulate support plans under the Care Act 2014. Knowledge, experience, and the ability to adhere to the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other Social Work legislation and practice guidance are also essential.
The role also includes covering a very busy duty service on a rota basis, taking referrals and providing advice, information and guidance to members of the public and professionals in addition to colleagues within the team.

We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for working with adults, understanding their needs and aspirations and supporting them to enhance their quality of life.
The ability to develop, maintain and improve professional relationships with service users and carers is essential as well as the attributes required to participate in inter-disciplinary team working.
The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and team skills, the ability to prioritise and problem solve and be able to work autonomously yet know when to seek advice and guidance from their colleagues and management.
