Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Electronics Engineers to join Leonardo’s electronics development team for a key programme in the Advanced Targeting Sector.
Opportunity:
Advanced Targeting offers significant growth opportunities due to a strong pipeline of work. This position focuses on the DragonFire system, a cutting-edge Laser Directed Energy Weapon. You will work within a multidisciplinary team across the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements capture to final delivery.

What You'll Do As An Electronics Engineer:
* Work with a team of around ten electronics engineers developing DragonFire beam-director electronics hardware.
* Develop electronics throughout the full design lifecycle: requirements analysis, concept development, design, build, test, system integration, acceptance testing, and delivery.
* Collaborate with Software, Firmware, Mechanical, and Systems engineers to solve integration problems.
* Receive technical and personal development support from industry experts in electro-optics and defence avionics.
* Own assigned electronics work packages, plan your work, and report progress.
* Training will be provided through on-the-job experience and formal courses as needed.
What We Need From You:
* Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in at least one electronics design area: analogue, mixed-signal, digital, or power electronics.
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; coaching experience is a plus.
* Knowledge of electronics development processes.
* Experience across the design lifecycle: requirements, implementation, testing, and delivery.
It Would Be Great If You Have:
* Experience with Electro-Optics, Lasers, Camera Imaging, Servo Control, Power Electronics, or Hardware Safety.
* Experience with ECAD tools like Siemens Xpedition.
