Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting a passionate and practical Mechanics Instructor to join a specialist SEN provision in Dudley. This is an exciting opportunity to support learners aged 7-18 with a range of complex needs, including autism and SEMH, through vocational and hands-on learning.
About the Role
You'll deliver engaging mechanics sessions that help students build confidence, develop valuable skills, and gain vocational qualifications. Working in small groups, you'll provide structured, supportive learning in a safe workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver practical mechanics sessions tailored to individual learner needs
Support students in developing vocational and life skills
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed workshop space
Adapt lessons and support strategies for a range of SEN/SEMH needs
Contribute to curriculum planning and track student progress
About You
Industry knowledge or experience in motor vehicle/mechanics is essential
Experience working with young people with SEND
Positive, flexible, and resilient approach to managing behaviour and learning
Previous SEN experience is desirable, but not essential
Knowledge or experience of autism and/or SEMH is a strong advantage
