Commissioning Engineer
Salary: £40k-55k plus overtime and benefits. Location: East Midlands / London (Hounslow / Heathrow Airport).
Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems, primarily to the transportation, airport and power infrastructure industry. As part of a planned programme of strategic growth they are now seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers to complement their successful team of electrical and control professionals.
Responsibilities
* Check installation of equipment to the correct standard prior to testing.
* Perform testing of a system according to the Installation and Commissioning Test document.
* Conduct PLC data input tests including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs.
* Set up field devices.
* Perform site acceptance tests, fault find and correct any PLC code or wiring issues.
* Produce documentation such as RAMs, test documentation and weekly progress reports.
* Attend site progress meetings, toolbox talks and other client-facing test conditions to represent the business professionally.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years of relevant commissioning work experience.
* Qualified to at least Level 3 apprenticeship, City & Guilds or above in electrical or control engineering.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Clear criminal record required due to airport security clearance.
