Role Overview As a Despatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the despatch process, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient distribution of goods to customers. You will liaise with internal teams, couriers, and transport providers to manage outgoing shipments, ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements, and maintain accurate records of all despatch activities. Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule outgoing deliveries to meet customer deadlines. Coordinate with warehouse, transport, and customer service teams to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. Generate and manage despatch documentation, including picking lists, delivery notes, shipping labels, and export paperwork where applicable. Book transport and liaise with courier companies and hauliers to organise collections and deliveries. Ensure that despatch areas are organised, safe, and operating in line with health and safety procedures. Track shipments and handle delivery queries or delays promptly and professionally. Monitor stock levels and collaborate with inventory control to avoid stock discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of despatched goods using the company's Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP software. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse and despatch operations. Train and supervise any despatch operatives or temporary staff as needed. Additional Information Additional earnings are possible through overtime, particularly when covering sickness or holidays.
