We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. What will you be doing?

* As our Contract Director you will be accountable for the strategic and operational leadership of clients and contracts within your area of control. This will include responsibility for the safe and operational delivery of the Contract margin and cash/WIP targets, while meeting external and internal performance outcomes.
* Delivering to World Class health, safety, quality and environmental standards and maintaining high levels of employee engagement.
* Lead the vision, strategy and objectives for the Contract in line with the overall area and the M Group Water vision and strategy.
* Implement and uphold the company values and behaviours throughout the team and client interactions.
* Support colleagues and clients to deliver exceptional service and results.
* Develop the delivery strategy for your contract with a focus on SHEQ standards, risk management and continuous improvement.
* Manage revenue and profitability targets for each financial year and accountability for cash targets for contracts.
* Oversee operational resources and activities within areas of responsibility, driving efficiency while meeting contract SLAs.
* Lead to achieve agreed contractual targets for operational performance, and implement behavioural safety programmes where appropriate.
* Provide leadership and direction to teams, own and oversee delivery of contract business plans, and drive growth with clients.
* Ensure high levels of customer and end-user satisfaction, implement improvements and cost savings to maximise contract performance.
* Optimise contract cashflow and work proactively with contract teams and clients to ensure payments are received on time.
* Manage disputes professionally and timely with clients and suppliers; coach and mentor direct and indirect reports and establish succession plans.
* Collaborate with contract teams, supporting management and adhering to M Group Water company values.
* Lead contract renegotiations and direct bids for new opportunities, with a clear win strategy, in collaboration with the Business Development Team.
* Develop detailed client strategic plans and build strong relationships with customers' key representatives.
* Act as a Safety and Wellbeing champion and role model, driving health, safety and wellbeing performance across the contract.
* Promote best practice and continuous improvement in all responsibilities, including margin, WIP, SHEQ and operational performance plans.
* Share best practices within contracts and across MWS; contribute to marketing and PR activities through case studies and innovation.


What you'll bring

* Do you have the vision and motivation to proactively improve every day?
* A Degree or equivalent level qualification in a Construction, Engineering, Utilities and/or similar discipline, plus relevant management or professional qualifications?
* Demonstrable senior management experience at a Tier 1 contracting or similar environment?
* Client management and development skills, with excellent people leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities, and strong communication and interpersonal skills?
* Ability to influence others and sell ideas effectively at senior levels?
* Strong knowledge and experience of SHEQW policies, procedures and management, and strong commercial and sector awareness?
