Job Summary
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial landscape vehicles and equipment
Minimum Qualifications
Education
* High school Diploma or GED
Experience
* One to three years equipment maintenance and repair experience
License or Certification
* Valid driver license issued by the state where employed, with a record in good standing
Specialized Skills
* Knowledge of mowing and landscape equipment
* Knowledge of small engine and two cycle engine repair
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
* Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
* Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
* Has own tools
* Basic Mathematical Skills
* Ability to read, write and comprehend English
* Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
* Frequently required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk
* Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus
* Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
* Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and seldom lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds
* Frequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balance
Work Conditions
* Frequently works with mechanical objects and frequently outside in all weather conditions
* Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
* Frequently exposed to loud noise levels
Essential Duties
* Routine maintenance of commercial landscape equipment
* Diagnostic troubleshooting and repair
* Effectively communicate shop needs/concerns with management personnel.
* Abide by company guidelines and safety policies
