What it's like to work here
This is a role for someone who wants to help young people thrive, and you'll help put their voice at the centre of everything you do. You'll work closely with your colleagues to ensure young people play a key role in defining outcomes, working to challenge barriers and enhance a culture where 'ending unequal access' is embedded.
You may be principally based at Dinefwr in Llandeilo or Llanerchaeron in Ceredigion.
Your work pattern will include one day per week with a later start and finish time, and some weekend commitment. If shortlisted we'd be happy to discuss these details with you.
What you'll be doing
* You will be establishing a new role, being a confident self‑starter who can shape direction from the outset.
* Line‑manage our current Volunteering & Community Officer.
* Embed inclusive participation practices across properties; lead change through coaching and role‑modeling.
* Collaborate positively with colleagues to strengthen delivery.
* Maintain and develop existing volunteer groups, establish new sustainable local relationships.
* Build relevant strategic partnerships and networks that increase public benefit and raise our profile.
* Explore new opportunities for wider engagement – particularly with young people – enhancing their experience, confidence and understanding of our places, and deepening their long‑term connection to them.

* Experience in strategy; understanding internal and external contexts.
* Experience in building effective partnerships.
* Experience of delivering measurable outcomes.
* Experience of impact assessment methods.
* Experience of stakeholder management.
* Evidence of identifying, diversifying and growing participation.
* Evidence of diversifying public perception.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Evidence of creating positive, inclusive experiences for young people.
* Professional knowledge of community engagement.
* Strategic and strong analytic skills.
* Experience of leading change across diverse teams / sectors.
