Responsibilities

* Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
* Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control and equipment maintenance.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
* Monitor portion sizes and presentation of dishes to ensure quality standards are met.
Experience
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
* Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving is essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
