Revenue Team Manager Part time Grade C- £35,412 - £44,075 Pro Rata Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 15 hours per week About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Revenues Team Manager to lead a team responsible for the accurate, efficient and timely billing, collection and enforcement of Local Taxation charges. You will play a key role in ensuring income is maximised, service standards are met, and the Council fulfils its statutory responsibilities. What You’ll Be Doing Lead, supervise and support the Revenues team to maximise the collection of Local Taxation charges. Monitor performance, quality and productivity, ensuring targets, standards and deadlines are achieved. Develop and coach staff, overseeing welfare, performance management and personal development. Allocate, control and review work using established quality assurance and workload management systems. Work collaboratively with managers, partners and external agencies (e.g. Bailiffs, VOA, Service Birmingham). Contribute to service planning, reporting, project work, and the preparation of statutory returns and reports. Communicate effectively with staff, senior leaders, internal services, external stakeholders and customers. About You You will bring strong people management skills, technical knowledge of revenues processes and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment. You Will Have: Experience and knowledge of Revenues regulations and local taxation processes. Proven experience managing staff, workloads and resources in a performance-driven environment. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan and meet tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including responding to complaints and sensitive correspondence. Experience producing management information and reports to support decision making. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring data quality and compliance. Why Join Us?
