About the Role
Being a General Manager with us is about far more than running a pub. It’s about creating a place where people feel genuinely welcome, from the moment they book to the moment they leave with a smile.
You’ll take full ownership of the guest journey, lead from the front, and build a business you’re truly proud of.
General Manager Responsibilities
*
Overall management of the pub, ensuring company procedures and brand standards are met
*
Lead by example with a hands-on approach to training, coaching, and development
*
Build strong community connections to drive loyalty, reputation, and repeat business
*
Inspire a culture of great food and exceptional service
*
Full responsibility for health & safety across guests, team, and visitors
*
Act as DPS, ensuring full compliance with licensing standards
*
Oversee ordering, stock control, and wastage management
*
Produce team rotas at least two weeks in advance, aligned to labour budgets
*
Manage financial performance including P&L, sales, and labour control.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who brings energy, leadership, and heart to everything you do:

At least 2 year’s experience as a General Manager in a gastro-style pub, or a proven track record across hospitality concepts
*
A consistent, people-first approach to delivering outstanding guest service
*
A confident leader who motivates and develops high-performing teams
*
Passionate about hospitality and exceptional standards
*
Organised, proactive, reliable, and commercially aware
*
Comfortable working up to 48 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
*
Strong financial understanding, including P&L and labour budgets
*
