Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to support our growth plans across the South East and Anglia. You will work with key infrastructure clients in the water, environment, and power transmission sectors, managing capital projects and programmes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver all aspects of cost management from project inception to completion, including feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering, fee generation, risk management, dispute resolution and post‑contract management.
- Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and represent the firm with clients and contacts.
- Drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication and use of performance‑management processes.
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients, enhancing the firm's profile as a provider of premium services.
- Support the internal team and mentor junior staff on technically complex projects.
- Identify marketing opportunities and partner with Directors and the Business‑Development Department to pursue new leads.
Qualifications
- Experience in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying with a strong track record on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of NEC4 contracts, particularly PSC and ECC.
- Experience in integrated, multi‑organisation teams and cost/commercial management.
- Experience working within a client organisation, either directly or via colocation/secondment.
- Ability to influence key client stakeholders and grow workload/portfolio.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- Accredited MRICS (or working toward membership).
