Overview
Rotational Occupational Therapist (Band 5) – Full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week. Rotation across the Cornish Health Community with a focus on physical medicine, learning disabilities and adult mental health. Entry-level post working within the Occupational Therapy Band 5 rotation scheme across different health settings and sites.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard Occupational Therapy service to patients within each rotation area.
* Conduct assessments, plan and implement interventions, and set goals for patients; determine clinical diagnosis and Occupational Therapy treatment indications as appropriate.
* Maintain patient records as an autonomous practitioner.
* Work across ward settings, out-patient departments and in the patient’s own home as sites change; develop specialist skills under supervision.
* Participate in a 7-day flexible working pattern and weekend rota as required.
Requirements
* Essential: Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent; HCPC registered/Pending.
* Desirable: Membership of the College of Occupational Therapy; experience in multidisciplinary teams; NHS experience across relevant clinical areas is desirable.
Skills & Abilities
* Up-to-date clinical skills and entry-level assessment skills.
* Good understanding of multidisciplinary team roles.
* Computer literate; ability to engage in clinical audit/research; strong presentation skills.
