Job Description:
Sales Manager vacancy, branded hotel with over 100 bedrooms, M&E space for 150, Restaurant & Bar. £38,000 – £40,000 plus 1 day remote working, onsite car parking & 10% annual bonus potential. Focus on corporate transient & groups business.
Responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales activities, developing key accounts, and increasing market share across corporate, leisure, MICE, and group segments. The role focuses on building strong client relationships while representing the hotel.
Sales & Revenue Generation
1. Proactively identify, target, and secure new business for the hotel across agreed market segments
2. Manage and grow existing client accounts to maximise room nights, meetings, and event revenue
3. Achieve and exceed individual and hotel sales targets and KPIs
4. Prepare and negotiate contracts, rates, and proposals in line with brand and revenue strategies
Account Management & Relationship Building
5. Build strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and local businesses
6. Conduct regular client meetings, site inspections, and hotel show-rounds
7. Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and sales missions
Market & Strategy
8. Analyse local market trends, competitor activity, and client needs
9. Contribute to the hotel’s annual sales and marketing plan
10. Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, and Operations teams to optimise performance
Administration & Reporting
11. Maintain accurate records in CRM and sales systems
12. Produce regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates
13. Ensure all sales activity complies with brand standards and company policies
Qualifications
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
14. Previous experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or a similar B2B sales role
15. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
16. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
17. Excellent organisation and time-management abilities
18. Confident user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable
19. Experience within an international hotel brand
20. Knowledge of the Sheffield or regional hospitality market
21. Experience selling meetings, events, or corporate accommodation
