The role
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will:
* Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE RS experience welcomed)
* Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons covering religion, ethics, and philosophy
* Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respectful debate
* Differentiate effectively to support pupils of mixed abilities, including those with SEND
* Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment
* Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively within the Humanities faculty and wider staff team
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
* Has experience teaching RE / RS in UK secondary schools
* Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
* Is committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
* Is reliable, adaptable, and professional
* Is happy to work PAYE, with clear and transparent pay
This role is suitable for ECTs, experienced teachers, and those returning to the profession.
Pay & contract
* £163–£265.92 per day, depending on experience
* Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella companies, no hidden deductions
