Patient and Encouraging PA wanted Ref: NB2248 Location: Calne Details This role is to support a Man Drivers licence required: Preferred Employment status: Employed or Self-employed Hours per week: Monday to Friday Three afternoons a week - for 5 hours ( days and times to be agreed) Hourly pay rate: To be discussed - I am 21 years old and I am looking for a PA to help me build my independence and confidence by helping to plan and cook different meals, by helping me with accessing online courses and getting out and about in the community either by car or public transport. I need someone who is going to be able to help me find new experiences and help me build on employable skills that I can put down on a CV. I have a great sense of humour and once I get to know you I enjoy having fun and having a laugh. - Duties include: - Eating and drinking assistance - Other relevant duties as required - Administration - Cooking - Transportation - Companionship - It would be really good for me to be able to go to the shops either by car or public transport to select ingredients to cook with the PA back at home. - I would like help and support to access education and courses to build employable skills to be able to create a CV. - It would also be really good to be able to go out and explore new places and go out in the community to build on my independence and confidence. - Time management would also be a bonus! Candidate qualities: - Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality - Reliable with good timekeeping - Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative - Hygienic, tidy and well organised - Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties - Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills - Honest and cheerful - Creative - Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard - Must be comfortable with pets - Able to always work to high standards of health & safety - I need someone who knows about health needs around food/eating getting enough nutrients as this is something I need support with. - The PA needs to be able to drive the sessions we have and be creative as I struggle to know what things I would like to do so it would be great to have a PA who has lots of ideas of things I can experience. - The PA would need to be patient with letting me get to know you and build the relationship over time at my own pace. I also need someone who can spot when I am feeling overwhelmed as when this happens I am best left alone until I feel better. - If the PA had experience or knowledge of OCD this would be a great help as I suffer with OCD so I need the PA to be understanding. - I also have a low immune system so hygiene is a really important factor.
