Full Time Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist position based at Moseley Hall Hospital, Birmingham. Applicants seeking fewer than 37.5 hours per week will be considered and are encouraged to discuss.
The postholder will work with the Divisional Lead Consultant Psychologist and colleagues to ensure governance and development of neuropsychology services across inpatients, outpatients and community settings. The role includes leadership, supervision, management and provision of clinical services.
The post requires extensive Neuropsychology experience, eligibility for entry onto the Specialist Register for Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN), and demonstrable strategic leadership experience relevant to a Consultant-level position.

Job responsibilities
To provide a high-quality specialist neuropsychological service to people with specialist rehabilitation needs across all care sectors within the Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust catchment. To supervise and support psychological and neuropsychological assessment, therapy and interventions delivered by other psychologists and clinical team members. To contribute to governance for ASR Neuropsychology services in collaboration with the Divisional Lead Consultant Psychologist. To ensure governance of psychological practice within the service and to utilise research for audit, policy and service development. To propose and implement policy changes; to be accountable for direct delivery of clinical services to clients, families and carers; and to provide outreach, consultation, training and clinical supervision to develop a multilevel psychology service within the Division. To ensure service objectives and commissioner requirements (e.g., UKROC statistics) are met and to collaborate with commissioners and partners to sustain and enhance the service.
Qualifications and experience
Essential
* Postgraduate Doctoral Level training in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent)
* HCPC registered
* Eligible for inclusion on the BPS Specialist Register in Clinical Neuropsychology
Experience
* Extensive post-qualification experience in specialist assessment and treatment for rehabilitation needs
* Extensive clinical experience in Neuropsychology Services
* Experience of multidisciplinary service development
* Clinical research and/or staff consultancy, teaching and support roles
* Supervision of qualified/assistant/trainee psychologists
* Experience of full clinical responsibility for clients’ psychological care within an MDT
* Experience of doctorate-level teaching and tailoring training for other professions on psychological matters
