Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a bright and motivated Commercial Property Paralegal to join a busy, client-focused team supporting a high-profile account. This is a great chance for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and direct client contact in a role that centres on landlord and tenant property management work. Day-to-day, you’ll be getting stuck into renewal leases, licences for alterations, and licences to assign, while building strong working relationships with the client, their in-house team, tenants and other key contacts. You’ll be managing a portfolio of retail properties for this particular client, drafting and negotiating L&T documents using tried-and-tested client precedents.
You’ll also be the go-to for liaising with tenants, solicitors and other stakeholders, ensuring files are kept shipshape and everything is progressing as it should. There’s plenty of variety in this role – from legal research to helping fee earners with admin queries and making sure transactions complete accurately and on time. We’re looking for someone with at least 12 months’ experience in a commercial property team (residential experience may be considered, but this is very much a commercial property role). You’ll need to have a good handle on landlord and tenant work, be confident drafting and reviewing documents, and have great organisational skills.
Because this is a client-facing role, you’ll also need to be a strong communicator, able to juggle multiple matters and keep cool under pressure. If you’ve worked on a specific client account before, that’s a bonus – and strong academics will help you hit the ground running in what is a technically demanding role. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone keen to develop their career in commercial property while working closely with a top-tier client. For additional information, please contact Neil Campbell at QED Legal.
