Position Overview:
The client seeks a Principal Communication Systems Engineer. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing phased array antennas and radios for aerospace systems, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure interface compatibility.
* Support proposal reviews and lead trade studies to optimize system architecture.
* Develop space system requirements and interfaces.
* Lead development of space architecture concepts, sub-system design, payload design, and risk reduction.
* Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, and quality to ensure mission success.
* Develop system engineering processes for requirements management and traceability.
Qualifications:
* Master’s or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering.
* 9+ years experience in space communications.
* Strong background in communication theory and RF concepts.
* Experience with FPGA, vector processing engines, and satellite-communications standards.
* Proficiency in Python and C++.
* Excellent technical communication skills.
* Ability to manage large projects and work under pressure.
* Strong team collaboration skills.
