Managing all day-to-day childcare needs and being the point of contact for school-related administration, you will be a self-starter with a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach, and have a pleasant and professional demeanor. You will manage the school runs and children’s schedules, including arranging and supervising play dates and extracurricular activities, as well as preparing healthy snacks and meals for the children. The family employ housekeeping staff, but the Nanny/PA will be expected to undertake basic tidying tasks such as clearing away plates after the kids have eaten, ensuring that their bedrooms and play areas are organised, and equipment, school uniform, school bags etc. are sorted out and ready to go for the next day. Experience of working with children of a similar age is highly desirable for this role as the family are looking to hire someone long-term. A brilliant communicator and highly organised, you will ensure the smooth running of the day in this busy family home. The family also have a home in the countryside (Wiltshire/Hampshire) where they spend time on weekends and some of the school holidays, so flexibility to travel there will be required during the holidays – no overnight stays are expected, and travel costs are covered by the family. Working from Monday to Thursday, the hours are 9:30am-7:30pm, though flexibility will be required to assist outside of these hours from time to time, and will be paid as overtime. The ideal candidate will be fun, energetic, creative, and engaging as well as sensible, practical and able to instill healthy boundaries. A confident London driver would be hugely beneficial, though your own car is not required. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: • Prior Nanny experience working with children of a similar age range • Creative, fun, and energetic • Kind, warm, and caring nature • Highly organised and able to work efficiently • Good cook, able to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children • A self-starter with lots of initiative • Excellent communication and administration skills • Strong problem-solving capabilities • Valid DBS check and first aid trained • Polished and professional with a personable nature • Excellent English – both spoken and written • Brilliant checkable references
