Our client, based in Beaconsfield, is looking for a hands on and experienced Finance Officer to join their team.
The Finance Officer will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes.
The role requires an experienced individual with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support strategic decision-making in a growing business.
This is an office based role with flexible hours - 9-5 or 8.30-4.30 or 8-4.
Salary & Package
Salary:
£38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support all aspects of daily financial operations, including accounts payable and stock management. Supporting accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing where necessary.
Prepare month end adjustments and reconciliations and support the production of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance reports.
Support budgeting and financial planning cycles, providing variance analysis and commentary to management.
Manage financial compliance, including VAT, and HMRC reporting.
Support Head of Finance to liaise with external auditors, accountants, and banks to ensure statutory requirements are met.
Responsible for the ordering of stock and supplies ensuring the recording of stock is accurate in the system.
Carry out investigation of discrepancies and adjustment of stock levels on clinical system where necessary. Reporting concerns to the Head of Finance.
Maintain a good understanding of the 'Accounts', 'Stock' and reporting functions of the system to support and train the wider team.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Raising sales invoices / credit notes and dispatching to customers.
Ensure price lists/charge bands and information sheets are kept up to date and communicated to the wider team. Ensure new products are added and highlight any price fluctuation to the Head of Finance.
Carry out annual service and product price reviews and present to Head of Finance.
Contribute to business development projects by providing financial insights and feasibility analysis.
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a finance officer/accounting role.
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent practical experience.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and HMRC requirements.
Proven track record of preparing management accounts and supporting audits.
Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel; experience with accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.

This is an operational finance role with a requirement to build strong relationships with other departments and assist with customer finance queries as required.
