Personal Support Assistant for leisure activities
Provide daily support, care and leisure assistance for a 7‑year‑old boy with global developmental delay, speech and language difficulties, and wheelchair use in Merthyr, Wales.
Responsibilities
* Assist with changing clothes and personal care, including nappies.
* Help the child develop confidence and sociability.
* Accompany the boy for swimming sessions at the local leisure centre.
* Support independence while remaining patient and encouraging.
* Transport the child using a foldable wheelchair in a car.
Compensation
£14.00 per hour – 3 hours per week during termtime and 6 hours per week during school holidays.
Qualifications
* DBS check (to be arranged at no cost to you).
* Background in childcare and additional needs.
* Full UK driver’s licence and ability to operate a car.
* Ability to physically assist a child in a wheelchair.
Training
Full training will be provided in house.
About the Job
Salary will be paid monthly or fortnightly via BACS. Successful applicants will undergo a three‑month trial period and will be directly employed by the customer.
