18-Month Fixed Term Contract - £110,000 – £140,000

Why this role exists
This is a hands-on delivery role, not strategy or advisory.
The business is reshaping its logistics and supply chain capability including warehouse relocations, site closures/openings, and technology change. So you will need to have experience in all of these areas to be considered.
They are looking for someone who has already delivered this type of programme before and can come in and do it again.
The expectation is simple:
take ownership, drive it forward, and land it properly.
What you’ll own
Full end-to-end accountability for delivery this is not oversight or PMO.
* Lead warehouse/site relocations, openings and closures
* Drive execution across logistics, operations, and technology
* Build and run detailed delivery plans and keep them moving
* Own risks, issues, dependencies and resolve them quickly
* Deliver against time, cost, and operational outcomes
* Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and tech teams to remove blockers
* Maintain pace and momentum across a complex programme
You will be expected to personally drive delivery, not coordinate from the sidelines.
What good looks like
You have delivered similar programmes before specifically:
* Warehouse relocations / DC moves
* Site openings or closures
* Supply chain or network transformation
* You can clearly point to programmes where you were accountable for delivery, not just involved
* You operate at Programme Manager / Director level but remain hands-on and execution-focused
* You bring both:
* Senior stakeholder credibility, and
* Strong delivery depth (plans, risks, problem-solving)
* You understand how supply chains operate in reality — warehouse, transport, inventory, and network
* You’re commercially aware and comfortable making trade-offs
* You’re confident driving decisions and holding stakeholders to account
The reality
This is a delivery-critical, high-visibility assignment.
They are not looking for someone to shape the programme they need someone who has done this before and can deliver it again.
Eighteen months to deliver:
* A fully executed programme
* Operationally embedded change
* Measurable improvement in supply chain capability
