Your new Brokers are a well-established Lloyd's Broking House that operates under a larger holding company. This team specializes in all classes of Marine, Fine Art, and Yacht risks. The division is a smaller team within the wider organization, working closely within the Marine Hull & Liability department. The team comprises talented individuals who are experts in International Marine Hull & Liability risks, and they work in a close, productive environment.
Due to growth within the division, a permanent position for a Marine Hull Account Handler / Technician has arisen to provide client and technical support to the International Marine Hull team.
Your new role
This permanent role involves handling International Marine Hull and related risks. Responsibilities include supporting Brokers, preparing MRC slips, endorsements for the London market, reviewing team documentation, premium processing, and liaising with Xchanging. You will communicate daily with Brokers, Underwriters, and clients. Additional duties include preparing cover notes, debit notes, letters of undertaking, account entries for larger clients, renewing cover facilities, and supporting Brokers on client accounts. You will liaise with insurers and provide technical support as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
Successful candidates will have experience as a Marine Account Handler/Technician handling International Marine Hull and related risks. You should possess technical knowledge and experience in producing documentation such as MRC slips and endorsements, familiarity with Xchanging, and Lloyd's List Intelligence. Experience in dealing with clients and insurers, and developing relationships, is essential. Technical confidence and the ability to work independently are important, as this is a hybrid role. Only applicants with relevant London Market Marine Hull technical experience will be considered.
