Panoramic Associates are pleased to be supporting a local authority in the South West with an interim Senior Estate Surveyor requirement. While it's not quite as far down as Cornwall (so no long beach commutes!), it's a great opportunity to get stuck into a varied and commercially focused estates role working for a high-performing authority. In this position, you will take responsibility for a mix of varied and exciting commercial and operational property assets, ensuring they are effectively managed and deliver optimal value. You will be involved in a wide range of professional activities, from negotiating lease terms through to supporting acquisitions and disposals.

Senior Estate Surveyor - MRICS - Southwest - £350-450 - 3-6 Months

In this position, you will take responsibility for a mix of varied and exciting commercial and operational property assets, ensuring they are effectively managed and deliver optimal value. You will be involved in a wide range of professional activities, from negotiating lease terms through to supporting acquisitions and disposals.
Key responsibilities
* Manage a diverse portfolio including leases, licences, rent reviews and vacant properties.
* Lead on property disposals (sale and lease), ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
* Negotiate easements, way leaves and rights of way with external bodies.
* Provide professional advice and support to internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations while delivering practical, value-driven solutions.
Qualifications
* Degree in Estate Management and membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
* Proven experience in commercial property within a local authority setting.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
* Confident negotiator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience leading or mentoring others.
* MRICS qualification is required to be considered for this role.
