Job Purpose: The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving national growth across the asbestos compliance, surveying, analytical, and removal services portfolio. This role focuses on identifying, targeting, and securing major key accounts that offer ongoing, multisite, repeat business opportunities. You will define strategic growth plans, build deep commercial relationships, and position the organisation as a preferred national partner for asbestos compliance and risk management solutions. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Strategic Business Development Develop and deliver a national business development strategy aligned to organisational growth targets. Identify and acquire high-value key accounts with the potential to generate multiple long-term opportunities across the UK. Build relationships with key decision-makers within new and existing client organisations, ensuring Oracle Solutions is positioned as the preferred supplier for asbestos management, consultancy, and remediation. Map national frameworks, property portfolios, FM providers, construction groups, social housing, NHS trusts, education estates, and industrial clients to drive multisite contract wins. Build and manage a structured pipeline of strategic prospects, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual growth milestones are achieved. Collaborate across the divisional national sales activity, including strategic outreach, tender positioning, high-level client engagement, and opportunity conversion. Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to shape pricing models, key account development plans, and competitive strategy. Identify cross-sell opportunities across the organisation (water hygiene, fire, compliance, etc.) to enhance account value. Lead Generation and Conversion Generate high-quality leads and close sales opportunities in line with the quarterly sales plan and agreed revenue targets. Client Acquisition & Key Account Growth Undertake targeted prospecting to build strong relationships with senior decision-makers, influencers, and procurement teams. Secure new multi-year, multi-site asbestos compliance contracts and frameworks. Deliver high-impact sales presentations, capability demonstrations, and technical briefings to prospective and existing clients. Produce tailored proposals, quotations, and tender responses with support from the Bid Team. Lead contract negotiations, ensuring commercial value and a strong long-term partnership. Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with technical, operational, and mobilisation teams to ensure seamless onboarding of major new contracts. Support national mobilisation activity, ensuring contract briefs reflect client expectations, service scope, and compliance requirements. Performance Reporting & Governance Take full ownership of achieving the company's agreed revenue growth targets through new business and account expansion. Ensure personal sales performance aligns with the quarterly and annual targets set within the approved business plan. Maintain an accurate and transparent record of personal sales activity, pipeline progress, and outcomes within /CRM. Identify and pursue high-value opportunities that contribute directly to overall company growth. Provide weekly and monthly performance updates to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Ensure all activities comply with asbestos regulations, industry standards, and internal quality/safety policies. Site Engagement & Technical Understanding Conduct site visits, client meetings, and technical scoping sessions where required. Maintain a strong understanding of asbestos legislation, survey/reporting requirements, analytical techniques, and removal methodologies. Person Specification: Essential: Experience in relevant technical, compliance, or environmental services. Evidence of vocational training or industry competence. Desirable: BOHS, UKATA, or asbestos-related technical qualifications (awareness, P-certs, etc.). Business or marketing degree. IOSH Managing Safely. Experience: Essential: Significant experience within asbestos compliance, surveying, removal, FM, or environmental services. Demonstrable track record of securing and managing major key accounts. Experience delivering national sales strategies with multi-site/portfolio clients. Desirable: Prior experience selling into FM providers, local authorities, NHS, social housing, education, or industrial sectors. Experience developing and winning tenders/frameworks. Skills & Personal Requirements Expert communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills. Excellent organisation, time management, and pipeline discipline. High commercial awareness and ability to understand technical service offerings. Confident IT user (Word, Excel, CRM systems, Outlook). Willingness to travel nationally. Full, clean driving licence.
