Overview
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - CAD - (Submarines). Working Pattern: Full time. Location: Derby (Raynesway). We are recruiting a CAE CAD Manufacturing Engineer to join the Submarines function within the NBC OBU based at Raynesway, Derby. You will operate as part of a cross-functional team to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes are understood to deliver the design intent. You will be responsible for creating production drawings for highly complex components, working with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Inspection and Production.

Responsibilities
* Prepare, develop, and maintain the master model, definition drawing and relevant documentation in accordance with company procedures, engineering drawing standards and design intent (fit, form, function) and manufacturing & build capability.
* Create 3D CAD models and 2D production drawings using Siemens NX; translate design ideas into production engineering drawings.
* Produce, modify, and review engineering drawings using Siemens NX; create Manufacturing Process Models in Siemens NX.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering stakeholders to deliver programme and Method of Manufacture improvements, including technical continuous improvement opportunities with Operations to enhance manufacturing process capability.
* Produce tolerance stack-ups to aid new product creation and validation.
Qualifications
* Ideally professionally qualified engineer (e.g., UK minimum HND/foundation degree or equivalent) or relevant time‑served experience.
* Proficient in Teamcenter/PLM and Siemens NX v7.5 or above; experience with other CAD software considered.
* Experience in conceptual and detail drafting techniques with understanding of manufacturing techniques.
* Desirable: experience using CAD packages to design jigs, fixtures and tooling; knowledge of GD&T and Y14.5M drawing standards.
* Desirable: recognised national or international engineering accreditation (e.g., UK IEng or CEng).

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently have it.
