The organisation
Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with the wonderful Torch Theatre in Milford Haven… to play a leading hands-on role in driving the Torch forward into their next chapter. Building on their current and past successes, we are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Senior Manager- Finance who will contribute to taking the Torch from strength to strength. An opportunity exciting and compelling, and you will be joining them at a critical time. A lovely place to work!
You will bring energy and passion to this leadership role, with responsibility for the operational development, implementation and ongoing oversight and delivery of financial policies, practices, processes and systems.
As a member of the Torch\'s Senior Management Team, you will help ensure that the Torch operates as a sustainable and successful business, as well as being artistically bold and ambitious. You will champion their organisational values in a culture that is inclusive, collaborative, safe and supportive, and that promotes the Welsh language.
The Torch is a creative force in Pembrokeshire with a long-standing national significance and an international reputation. Their people (staff, participants, collaborators) and their audiences are united in our passion to create and connect, their commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and their determination to sustain and develop their provision for the wellbeing of future generations.
The Torch plays a vital role in the local community: through (direct engagement activities such as their Youth Theatre, education programme and outreach work; through their health and wellbeing initiatives; and as an economic driver for the region. They are extremely proud of the breadth of their programme, shown across their two auditoria and complemented by their gallery, café and their vibrant and accessible front of house spaces.
We are looking for someone with lots of financial management experience (we are very open on sector and background) who is strong on day to day operational delivery. An interest in the arts is important - theatre experience is desirable but certainly not essential. You will be a part of and work closely with the Senior Management Team and be responsible for leading and managing a small Finance team.
