Resident Support Worker

* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
* Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and well-being
* Implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences
* Monitor and record residents' progress, behaviours, and any changes in health status
* Promote a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
* Support residents in engaging with community activities and social events
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver holistic care
* Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to organisational policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in a support worker, care assistant, or similar role is desirable
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
* Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
* Empathy, patience, and resilience to support individuals with diverse needs
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required
