Roles Available in Location: Stevenage, GSK HQ

Education required: To apply for this placement, you must be currently studying an Undergraduate Degree in Life Sciences, Project Management, Business Analytics or related.

Please note Role 2 is only open to BSc Degree undergraduate students.

Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK or ROI university for the duration of your placement.

If you have already graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme.

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Expected Start date: GSK HQ - June 2026 / Stevenage - September 2026

Duration: 1 year (approximately)

Salary: A salary of £27,100 (London) or £25,400 (other locations) plus a bonus.

The Roles (4 available)

Role 1 - Non-Interventional Studies Planning & Delivery, Study Delivery Lead - Stevenage

Start Date: September 2026

Workplace Arrangements: Flexible working via performance with choice (office & home working may be available)

Overview of the Department

This position within the Non-Interventional Studies Planning and Delivery Team combines end-to-end design, execution, and reporting of clinical studies and trials including:

* Non-interventional studies using primary data collection (prospective studies enrolling patients and/or HCPs), de novo registries, discrete choice experiments, creation of new datasets with secondary data (e.g. EMRs/chart abstraction), patient-reported outcomes development and validation
* Non-interventional descriptive and comparative studies using secondary data sources (retrospective studies, burden of illness, drug utilisation, prevalence/incidence studies)
* Studies using a mix of existing data and new data collection via sites or patients
* Economic modelling and meta-analyses
* Occasionally interventional clinical trials

Role 2 - Non-Interventional Studies Planning & Delivery, Project Manager - Stevenage

Degree Requirements: BSc undergraduates only

Start Date: September 2026

Overview of the Department

Global Clinical Operations is a multidisciplinary department within which the Non-Interventional Study (NIS) Project Management team sits. The NIS Project Management team is a global team that manages project plans to operationalise evidence generation activities to demonstrate the value of our medicines to Regulators, Payers and Healthcare Professionals.

Key Placement Learnings

* Build Project Plans in Planisware aligned with evidence generation strategy
* Maintain active Project Plans (timelines, budget, new activities)
* Prepare data files/slides for input into project team discussions
* Develop business skills (project management, change management, strategy, finance) while understanding drug development


Role 3 - ViiV Clinical Sciences & Operations - GSK HQ

Start date: June 2026

Workplace Arrangements: Full-time onsite required

Overview of the Department

ViiV Healthcare works with GSK to operationalise and deliver clinical trials. You will collaborate with ViiV and GSK teams, build your network, and contribute to presentations.

Key Placement Learnings

* Operational oversight of HIV clinical studies (Phases 1 to 3b/4)
* Coordinate high-quality study materials (protocols, manuals, consent forms)
* Work with cross-functional teams
* Review study data and literature
* Contribute to QA initiatives and regulatory submissions


Role 4 - ViiV Clinical Supply Team - GSK HQ

Start date: July 2026

Workplace Arrangements: Flexible working via performance with choice

Overview of the Department

The Clinical Supply Team focuses on patient safety and cost-effective supply solutions to support HIV therapies. CST ensures compliant, seamless delivery of investigational medicinal products and cross-functional collaboration to comply with global regulatory requirements and optimize operations.
