Smart Services Engineering – Graduate Data Science Engineer
We are looking for Graduates! Our University Hiring vision is to hire and nurture talented graduates to become future NCR leaders and experts in their field of work. We are hiring for a full-time Graduate opportunity within our Engineering business function based out of our research and development center in Dundee.
You will join a collaborative working environment where “out of the box” thinking and agility are embraced. You will join our Smart Services Engineering team where you will be offered mentorship and resources to deliver company value and build your career.
Who you are
We seek STEM graduates with a background in Data Science or related fields who are passionate about data manipulation and analysis. You will work on challenging global projects requiring smart solutions, supported by experienced team members.
As part of our multi-disciplinary team of Hardware Engineers, Software/Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Process Improvement Engineers, you will help develop and maintain our analytics and reporting platform, and research new insights from global ATM data to drive improvements.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
* Batchelor’s Degree in a STEM subject with skills in data manipulation and analysis.
* Programming experience in data-related languages including Python.
* Experience with data preparation and data quality.
Highly desired skills and experience:
* Data Visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI.
* Microsoft Office applications.
* Microsoft Azure environment.
Personal attributes:
* A passion for data and creating insights to enhance team success.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, under pressure, meeting deadlines.
* Self-motivated and able to complete tasks independently.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Methodical with attention to detail.
