Position Summary
Purpose
To ensure that all Rope Access activities are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company and statuary regulations and where applicable perform NDT / CVI inspection .
Duties & Responsibilities
Functions
ESSENTIAL
1. Supervise and direct rope access personnel to ensure operational efficiency with the implementation of the appropriate standards of safety, and quality control in rope access activities, according to Oceaneering procedures.
2. Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT and Rope Access activities.
3. Seek to continually improve existing safe systems and methods of work.
4. Maintain contact with existing and potential customers and establish close relationships with them in order to promote the company’s interests.
5. Maintain the rope access equipment ensuring that the certification is kept up to date. On return to Stores all equipment must be cleaned and manifested to ensure that nothing is missing.
6. All relevant paperwork in the Rope Access work pack will be read, filled out, signed, and sent back to operations on completion of the project.
7. When working an “ongoing” contract, the equipment will be left in a clean and tidy condition for the oncoming Level 3. All the equipment will be manifested and all relevant paper work completed.
8. Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required.
9. Carry out the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection.
10. Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification.
11. Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed
12. Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification
13. Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
14. Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires
15. Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements
16. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
NON-ESSENTIAL
17. Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management
18. Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
19. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
20. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Safety
21. Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Other
22. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities
25. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's rope access policies and applicable laws.
Reporting Relationship
26. This person will report to the Project Manager
27. Performance will be measured by the Project Manager and/or NDT Technical Lead
Qualifications
Qualifications
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
REQUIRED
28. ASNT/PCN L2 or CSWIP Visual Inspection
29. Valid Passport
30. ASNT/PCN Levels 1 and 2 in one or more disciplines EC / UT / RAD
31. IRATA L3 (minimum).
32. Offshore Survival / Offshore Medical / M.I.S.T / Cat A E.B.S / Bi-Deltoid Measurement / Eye Test
33. First Aid certificate.

Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFSHORE which is characterized as follows.

40. Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
41. Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels and the light is intense/glare.

44. Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions
45. Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
46. Potential exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.

48. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
49. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
