Overview
Hospital and Community Pharmacy Technician
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technicians with good communication and teamwork skills who can work under pressure and are keen to develop themselves. The role supports training and progression of technical staff and involves ward-based and community services.
Responsibilities
* Dispensing and full dispensary duties.
* Ward-based medicines management duties and medication reviews in community settings.
* Clinical trials participation as part of the clinical technical service team.
* Recording patient medication history and processing discharges at ward and community level (once trained).
* Work as part of a clinical technical service team and support high standards of patient-focused service.
* Prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work accurately and quickly under pressure.
* Participate in extended hours, late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
Qualifications and Skills
* Band 4/5 depending on experience and qualifications.
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
* Good communication and teamwork skills; commitment to learning and progression.
* Willingness to develop and progress to a Band 5 position if starting at Band 4.
