A successful primary school in Manchester is seeking a skilled and motivational Year 6 Teacher to join them from January 2026. The Year 6 Teacher will provide high-quality classroom teaching that consolidates curriculum knowledge, prepares pupils for transition to secondary school and secures strong outcomes. The school will provide induction before January 2026, enabling the Year 6 Teacher to plan effectively for the spring term starting January 2026. Key responsibilities Plan and deliver rigorous Year 6 lessons that prepare pupils for transition and assessments. Use assessment data to identify priorities and to design targeted interventions that raise attainment. Lead small-group booster programmes and evaluate their impact on outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues to moderate standards and ensure consistency across KS2. Maintain clear communication with parents, carers and external transition partners across Manchester. Person specification Qualified teacher with substantial upper-KS2 experience and strong Year 6 outcomes. Proven ability to manage assessment cycles, lead focused groups and adapt teaching to meet needs. Excellent organisational and communication skills and a calm, authoritative classroom presence.
