As a Senior Social Media manager, you will support the Head of Social, Content and Influencers in delivering the strategy and execution for the O2 and Virgin Media social channels. You’ll help build the profile of both brands with our audiences by leading innovative, authentic, platform‑first content and campaigns that align to our overall social media strategy and content pillars. A social native, you should have your fingers on the pulse of the latest platform trends and use your knowledge and creativity to create and deliver content that resonates with our audiences. You will also take a key role in guiding junior managers and creators on their content creation. To bring our social plans to life you’ll be working with key internal stakeholders including sponsorship, brand, campaigns, PR, sustainability, and customer care teams. Externally you’ll be comfortable and experienced in working with agencies, partners, content creators and Influencers to create and amplify our content. You will be a go‑to social and content expert for all campaign leads and managers on amplifying multi‑million pound 360 campaigns, so knowing your Snap Ads from your Snap commercials, and your TikTok Top Views from your TikTok Feed ads is paramount. And of course, you’ll understand how to measure the success of everything you create and evaluate against KPIs, ensuring that learnings are built into future content and campaigns to help us constantly evolve and grow.
Qualifications
* Relevant significant senior experience working in social media/content (+5 years) – having produced, planned and delivered content and campaigns across multiple platforms
* A real passion for social and content that keeps you fully up‑to‑speed with the latest trends and platform developments
* Significant experience working with partners, agencies, content creators and influencers to plan and create content
* Demonstrable comfort taking short‑term risk to test, prove concepts, learn and adapt to achieve long‑term success
* Strong stakeholder management experience – able to influence across a matrix organisation
* Knowledgeable about all key social platforms and a strong understanding of paid media plans
* Significant experience in managing social media crises for large brands
* Excellent written skills and understanding of the English language and grammar
* Strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects at once
* Ability to support the in‑house content team in capturing and publishing content at live events
