A leading manufacturing organisation are looking for a permanent Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Milton Keynes, offering a salary of up to £35,000. This position requires someone with proven expertise in international freight operations, customs compliance, and export documentation. This role has full ownership of end-to-end logistics execution across road, sea, and air freight, ensuring compliant, cost-effective, and on-time delivery across UK, European, Far East, and Middle East markets. Candidates will have previous experience within logistics and freight/customs compliance. Role responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator include: Manage end-to-end international freight operations across road, sea, and air, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective deliveries worldwide. Prepare and validate commercial invoices, customs declarations, and export documentation with full accuracy, including HS codes, Incoterms, and customs values. Oversee customs compliance, calculating duties, verifying commodity codes, and managing post-Brexit import/export procedures to ensure regulatory adherence. Coordinate dangerous goods shipments, ensuring proper classification, documentation, and compliance with IATA, IMDG, and ADR standards. Collaborate with internal teams and freight forwarders to optimize shipping schedules, negotiate rates, and resolve customs or logistical issues proactively. Person Specification of the Logistics Coordinator: Proven hands-on experience in international logistics post-Brexit, with strong knowledge of UK-EU customs procedures, export/import declarations, VAT, and duties. Practical experience working with freight forwarders, carrier portals, and managing commercial invoices, HS codes, Incoterms, and Certificates of Origin. Expertise in handling dangerous goods shipments and ensuring compliance with IATA, IMDG, and ADR regulations. Solid understanding of freight cost structure.
