Responsibilities
* undertake the structural engineering design for discrete packages of work including the production of reports, calculation packages and specifications
* Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate the structural engineering solutions
* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions
* Communicate your design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations
* Visit site to carry out inspections during the construction phase, and to assess existing structures
Qualifications
* An engineering degree and hold Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE)
* A working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes
* A developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software
* An interest in low carbon design and the assessment of embodied carbon in your design solutions
* A willingness to take responsibility for your designs, be proactive and support less experienced members of the team
