Responsibilities
* To undertake mechanical repairs, maintenance tasks and minor installations of mechanical equipment.
* To undertake planned maintenance activities and repairs on all mechanical equipment.
* Experience working with pipework, & filters desirable but not essential.
* Able to diagnose and repair simple and complex issues on various mechanical systems.
* Ability to produce permit to work/risk assessments as required.
* Identify and action any faults/remedial works.
* Use handheld technology effectively to carry out all tasks.
* Assist other team members when required or as directed from Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager.
* Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.
* Working with visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety.
* All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
* To forge and maintain excellent customer relations with on-site clients at all times.
* To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
* To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
* To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
* Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration.
* Be willing to participate in an on-call rota.
Qualifications
* Qualified to City & Guilds Level or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role.
Mechanical Experience – Working In Commercial Environments
* Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment.
* Including, pumps and mechanical drive systems.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
* Strong customer care focus.
* Good communication skills.
* Proactive.
* Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
* Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
