Job Purpose
The Risk Practitioner will provide professional support across client projects by facilitating risk identification, conducting analysis, and delivering actionable insights. This is a developmental role with structured learning, professional mentorship, and exposure to industry-recognised tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of project risk management plans
* Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments
* Assist in the development of project risk registers and heatmaps
* Coordinate and participate in risk workshops and interviews
* Maintain accurate and timely records of risk data and actions
* Develop client-ready reports, dashboards, and analysis summaries
* Learn and use risk modelling software (where applicable)
* Ensure compliance with internal governance and client expectations
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Risk Management, Business, Engineering, Project Management)
* Basic understanding of risk management principles and project lifecycles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable
* Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001 QMS, 31000 Managing risks, MoR)
* Familiarity with quantitative risk analysis tools (e.g. @Risk, ARM, Safran, AMP)
* Experience or interest in working in high-assurance environments

Probationary Period
Duration: 6 months
Regular reviews at 2-month intervals to assess performance, integration, training progress, and role.
Onboarding Plan (First 6 Months)
Month 1–2:
* Company induction and introduction to team, culture, and projects
* Training on optimise tools, frameworks, and client expectations
* Shadowing of senior practitioners
Month 3–4:
* Active participation in client projects with supervised responsibilities
* Attend workshops, support report preparation
* Begin working with internal knowledge resources
Month 5–6:
* Independent delivery of assignments and/or internal tasks
* Prepare for formal probation review
* Personal development plan review and career pathway mapping
