Teaching Assistant
Full-time | Fixed Term | Term-time only plus inset days | Immediate and upcoming starts available
We’re looking for a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school community, supporting pupils across the classroom to achieve their best. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with teachers, bringing creativity, patience, and energy to every school day.
You’ll support learning by adapting activities and resources to meet different needs, working 1:1 and with small groups to help pupils stay engaged and achieve positive outcomes. You’ll also play a key role in promoting emotional wellbeing, helping children to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting children in a primary classroom, or transferable skills from childcare, youth work, or similar roles
• A calm and encouraging presence, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with teachers and support staff
• Good organisational skills and an eye for detail when supporting lesson delivery or preparing resources
• A positive attitude and commitment to helping every child succeed, no matter their starting point
Role Requirements
• Relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2/3 or equivalent experience)
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, Grade C/4 or above
• An understanding of safeguarding and inclusion practices
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Availability during school hours, term-time only
