The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants. The Opportunity We are now recruiting for a Commercial Business Analyst. In this role you will transform raw data into meaningful commercial insights, enabling leadership to optimize revenue, margin, pricing strategy, customer and business unit/project performance, resource utilisation, and overall business efficiency. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence. Key Responsibilities Extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets from multiple internal systems (CRM, ERP, finance, sales platforms, and project management tools). Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers across revenue, margin, cost bases and profitability. Conduct deep-dive analysis into product, customer, regional, and business unit/project performance. Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods including cost-to-complete and revenue recognition where applicable. Analyse resource utilisation, rates, and cost variances across projects and business units. Produce accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial performance reports. More responsibilities can be found in the Role Profile Minimum Requirements L3 qualification in a Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or other relevant subject, or equivalent Previous experience working in a commercial analyst, business analyst, or financial analyst role. Demonstrated experience working with commercial performance data and producing management-level reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
