The Week Junior is a multi‑award‑winning news magazine for eight‑to‑14‑year olds. It nurtures children’s natural curiosity and helps them make sense of the world. The title’s success is driven by our deep understanding of the needs of our target audience and an uncompromising commitment to creating high‑quality content that is clear, accessible, engaging and accurate.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Editor, you’ll plan, assign and edit key sections of the weekly magazine. You’ll decide the line‑ups for each section, working with the editor and writers to determine the correct mix, balance and priority of stories. You’ll work with designers and picture editors to ensure every page is eye‑catching and accessible to our readers. Along with writers and the production team you’ll ensure that copy is perfectly pitched for its audience—engaging, informative and pin‑sharp in terms of clarity and accuracy.
