Gateway Operator / Freight Forwarder
Location: Air & Sea Division, Mercia Park
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5
Responsibilities
* Process and consolidate export airfreight shipments.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of export documentation (AWBs, manifests, customs entries) with high level of detail on data quality.
* Liaise with airlines, handling agents, and internal teams for flight bookings and space confirmations.
* Monitor and update shipment status in the system.
* Handle security screening compliance and ensure cargo meets airline and both origin and destination country regulatory requirements.
* Resolve operational issues promptly to avoid delays.
About You
* Over 2 years of Export Air Experience.
* Customer focused with dedication to deliver high quality service.
* Ability to maintain a positive mind‑set when working under pressure, re‑prioritising workload where necessary.
* Can multitask and have strong problem‑solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy.
* Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, with a polite, courteous, and professional telephone manner.
